It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our partner Jonathan R. Hofstetter. A loving husband and father, Jon was 43 years old and left behind his wife and three daughters. Jon was well loved by all of our employees.

An upbeat and charismatic individual, Jon served as a role model for compassion and integrity. He went out of his way to help others whenever necessary and always saw the strengths in people, never focusing on their weaknesses. Jon had a gift for writing and delivering humorous stories, bringing a sense of levity to the workplace.

Jon was a skillful attorney who provided sound legal counsel to his clients and established a significant practice in Lancaster County in real estate and agricultural law. He tirelessly gave his time to our community through his service on several nonprofit boards and active participation in charitable events. Jon will be deeply missed by all of us at Blakinger Thomas.
