Blakinger Thomas was founded in 1986 by the merger of two well-known Lancaster County law firms whose histories extend back decades with the business practice of Richard J. Blakinger, the municipal practice of Charles B. Grove, Jr., and the agrarian and land use practices of Samuel S. Wenger and M. Elvin Byler. Over the years, Blakinger Thomas has evolved into a full-service law firm, representing generations of clients.
Today, Blakinger Thomas continues to provide legal services for individuals, businesses, governmental bodies, and community organizations. We are a well-established law firm with deep local roots, helping us to better understand our clients’ needs in the Central Pennsylvania area and with the sophistication and experience to handle the varied needs of local, national and international clients.
Our philosophy is to be diverse enough to meet all of our clients’ needs with individual attorneys providing an in-depth approach to the unique legal issues in their areas of focus. We offer representation in most areas of the law, and our attorneys practice in groups concentrated around those areas.
As the practice of law becomes more complex and specialized, our team approach allows us to work together to effectively represent each client and to provide personalized attention to every matter.
