John P. Henry

John is a shareholder of Blakinger Thomas and Chair of the Real Estate practice group. He is also a member of the firm’s Agricultural and Business groups.

John represents clients in various real estate matters, including the sale and acquisition of agricultural, commercial and residential real estate, settlement and title services, public sales, and preparation and negotiation of agreements of sale, easements, leases and the like. John is a licensed title agent in Pennsylvania. He also advises on agricultural preservation and conservation, Clean and Green (Act 319) matters, and zoning and land use-related issues before zoning and municipal boards. John’s dedication to Central Pennsylvania’s balance between growth and preservation serves to benefit a wide range of individuals, farmers and real estate entrepreneurs.

Additionally, John counsels buyers and sellers of business assets, as well as issues surrounding formation, contract negotiation, partnership and operating agreements, and general governance.

Prior to joining Blakinger Thomas, John spent several years at a law firm in rural Chester County, as well as roles in public service, including clerkships with a community legal aid society and public defender clinic. The range of experience that John possesses equips him with the ability to address a broad spectrum of clients’ needs.
